Listening to young people during C19

‘The quickest way to be out of date is to not listen’

How did effective listening practice to young people by youth organisations help or hinder their response to Covid-19? New, insightful research by InspireChilli and Team4YoungPeople with some of our service delivery partners shows that the ability to listen to young people improved how organisations responded to the crisis.

Established listening practice meant they were able to respond quickly in ways that showed their solidarity with young people. as a result they had more influence externally too.

The report contains helpful guidance for youth organisations looking to grow their listening practice including a self assessment checklist. it also includes recommendations for funders which we will be addressing in our own funding practice.

We’d love to hear from you if you have any feedback on the report or how you might use it: tessa.hibbert@blagravetrust.org
