The Head of Partnerships and Influencing is a new position focused on working closely with other funders to collaborate on programmes of funding and to influence their approach to ensure their work positively engaged and represents young people and social justice.
Blagrave is dedicated to serving young people who are challenging and experiencing injustice in their individual lives and within society. Their mission is to promote and empower young people as powerful forces for change, and support work that ensures their voices are heard in matters that affect them. They do this primarily by providing grants to organisations working with young people, influencing youth policy alongside them and investing directly in young changemakers.
The Head of Partnerships and Influencing will have three main objectives:
- Lead in the development and management of new and existing partnerships, including partnerships where Blagrave co-design and hold funding programmes with other foundations, and strategic partnerships with other actors invested in empowering young people and resourcing transformational change.
- Drive new strategic opportunities with like-minded partners from both Inside and outside the philanthropic world, towards our mission and purpose.
- Integrate and refine their commitment to influence policy that affects young people across all areas of work, including managing grants related to influencing.
The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in grant-making and must have a passion for social justice work which authentically supports and empowers young people. You will have experience developing successful partnerships that are equitable and transformational in their output. You will need to have strong problem-solving skills, experience managing people and have a strong understanding and aptitude for influencing both internally and externally.

A message from our CEO
The Head of Partnerships and Influencing role comes at an exciting moment in Blagrave’s transition as an organisation that aims to extend our influence way beyond the size of the organisation. By working collaboratively, we believe we can better fulfil our mission to bring lasting change to the lives of young people. We also have a deep commitment to learning and reviewing our practice across the organisation. For example, since I joined, we are on a journey focussed on becoming an anti-oppressive and anti-racist organisation.
In light of this work, at a time of increased need and growing levels of social injustice in society, Blagrave is readying itself for the task at hand. We are ready to recommit ourselves to ambitious targets for which we will hold ourselves accountable to young people. This new position of Head of Partnerships and Influencing will play a fundamental role in expanding our Influence, ensuring Blagrave can be the best version of itself.
Please join us If you are committed to supporting young people challenging and experiencing injustice in their individual lives and within society in a way which empowers, transforms, and builds a fair and just future for us all.
